Re-opening for worship
As you are aware the church stewards consulted with members where it was decided that it would be safe to re-open the chapel for worship in December providing the guidelines for worship under tier 3 are maintained.

What this means is the safe distance of 2 metres needs to be maintained along with wearing of face masks and hand cleaning procedures. In addition to this area in tier 3 need to follow the guideline as produced by the Methodist Church Web site: -

Guidelines for resuming worship from 6 September 2020 based on our
Covid-19 Risk Assessment.

If you or a member of your household have had a dry, persistent cough, a fever or loss of taste
or smell in the last 14 days you must stay away and follow Government Guidelines.

Please do not arrive early, the church door will not be opened until 10.15am
Social distancing must be observed at all times keeping 2 metres apart.
Please wear a face covering at all times in church, unless you are exempt
There will be a one way system of entry and exit which will be through the front door.
Please sanitise your hands at the sanitization table in the porch.
Please ensure your name is recorded by the door steward for track and trace, names will be kept for           21 days in accordance with government track and trace guidelines.
Seats will be positioned to allow 2 metre social distancing except for households who may sit together.
The room adjacent to the Chapel will be used in addition to allow a combined congregation of 25 with a          video link between each room. A steward will direct you to an available seat in either room.
You are requested to remain seated from that point until the end of the service unless in an emergency.
The service will be short 40-45 minutes.
There will be no singing.
There will be no physical contact or gathering in groups.
A collection plate near the kitchen area will be available for your free will offerings.
Please sanitize your hands on leaving.
One toilet will be available for use. Please wash your hands thoroughly and use the paper towels not
       the dryer.

The Methodist Church welcomes all who wish to join us for worship, but due to the current situation we have had to reduce the seating in the church in order to comply with guidelines and to ensure that people can worship in a safe manner. If in the event you arrive, and all the seats are occupied the steward will inform you that the church is full, and you will be asked not to enter.
